Predatory Journals, Scientific Integrity, and Academic Librarians
Predatory journals threaten scientific integrity, and academic librarians have the opportunity to play a central role in combating the fake science they publish and in protecting researchers from predatory publishers. Also, academic indexes are increasingly including predatory and marginal journals in their databases. This talk will show how academic librarians can help stop predatory open-access journals from further poisoning scholarly communication.
